One of the unique things about our company is that we exist all over the USA — from North Carolina to Hawaii, we serve extraordinary coffee wherever you are. Being a mobile coffee shop is wonderful because it allows us to stay accessible to you. But often, teams can miss the camaraderie that comes with serving in a physical coffee shop.
However, since Event Espresso is designed to meet the needs of both the client and our employees — allowing both to thrive. There is a lot of flexibility in how our roles can fulfill the company’s ethos.
And it’s this ethos that gives Casey, our owner and CEO, the freedom to shape a company culture that truly thrives for us. Casey saw a need to help foster more connection across all our territories, so she created the role of Brand Manager.
But I’m getting ahead of myself — first, let me introduce myself.
Hi — my name is Lee, and I’ve been writing these blog posts for the past couple of months. I wear many hats: I’m a barista, a wanderer, and Event Espresso’s Brand Manager.
As I mentioned, the Brand Manager role was created to serve as a connective thread across all our territories. Over time, I’ll travel from location to location to meet our teams, offer support, and help nurture their passions.
My hope is to bring a deeper sense of community to our incredible teammates as I connect with each of them.
I’m so grateful Casey created the role of Brand Manager, not only to keep our brand consistent but also to ensure that we stand for understanding the heart of who we are and nurturing the heartbeat of our team.
Each territory, each barista, brings their own magic to the table — and the work I get to do will highlight the pieces of what makes us, well us.
So — back to moving day!
I’ve scrubbed, packed, and donated in order to consolidate a life I’ve lived for the past six years in North Carolina. As I pack up my life, it’s more than just sorting through belongings. For me, this move is about letting go of the familiar and stepping into an unknown future. I see a strange beauty in this — a chance to redefine who I am and what this new role means for Event Espresso.
Chicago, Illinois will be the first stop on my tour.
Right now, I feel tired, overwhelmed, and sad — yet excited for the possibilities ahead. I’ve envisioned this moment for the last two years: the day when everything I own fits into my car and I set off on the adventure I’ve dreamed of since I was young.
Coffee has always been more than just a beverage to me, yet I didn’t realize that coffee would also be the journey that sets my dream in motion. But when we pursue our passions, life has a way of giving us exactly what we need.
As I step into this unmoored season, I’m excited to make new connections, build new communities, and bring myself fully to this work. If you’re reading this blog post, I hope we get to meet. I hope I get to share more of our story with you.
At Event Espresso, we believe in more than just great coffee. We believe in building meaningful connections — with our teams, our clients, and the communities we serve. This ethos — of bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging — is what makes every cup we serve more than just caffeine.
To me, coffee is many things — but first and foremost, it’s a pathway to people. As I grow into this role, I hope to bring you closer to what makes Event Espresso thrive.
We have baristas all over the United States, ready to bring their magic to your next event. Reach out and bring us to your staff appreciation, wedding, or conference.
And who knows — hopefully, we’ll get to meet there.
