Every drink we make is grounded in relationships and roasted with purpose.
That’s why we say people first, coffee second. This motto isn’t just a catchy phrase to us, it’s how we operate, how we grow, and the story of our coffee.
Coffee carries a rich, complex story, one that begins long before it reaches your cup. It starts as a seed planted in fertile soil, nurtured into a cherry, picked by the hands of farmers, processed into a bean, roasted with precision, and finally brewed by baristas who are as much artists as they are curators of experience. Every cup is a culmination of countless human hands and hearts — and we are proud to know many of them by name.
We source our beans from Dos Niñas Importers at San Luis Farms, a sixth-generation family-owned coffee farm nestled in the volcanic highlands of Guatemala. The volcanic soil gives their beans their signature richness, but it's the legacy of the family that makes them truly special (the grandfather Johnny, still lives on the farm and oversees day to day activities). The current stewards, two daughters (dos niñas) of the previous generation of farmers, are not only carrying on tradition, but expanding it. Through their work, their coffee now reaches us in the U.S., and eventually, into your hands.
Our beans are roasted by Joe and Jen of The Raleigh Coffee Company, a small, family-run roastery we’ve been partnered with since 2013. Joe’s dedication to his craft and his direct relationship with Dos Niñas makes his roastery more than just a vendor, it’s a vital part of our story. Together, we even created a custom roast: the Guatemala Finca San Luis, a bright, complex blend with notes of lemon, pastry, walnut, and cream.
Our founder, Casey, started Event Espresso when she was just 24. After years of working and managing a coffee shop, she dreamed of something more flexible. Something that could bring the café experience anywhere, to anyone. That vision evolved into what Event Espresso is today: a mobile café built on meaningful partnerships, artistic presentation, and a deep respect for the journey coffee takes to get to you.
When we show up at your event, we’re not just serving lattes, we’re sharing a story. One of family, legacy, care, and connection. We are reflecting the interpersonal ties we have cultivated over time. We work with entertainers, artists, movers and shakers to bring your coffee experience to life, because to us, hospitality is how we honor the hands that made this coffee possible.
We do events big and small, but no matter the size, we bring the same energy, heart, and quality. Let us bring our mobile café to your next event. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
